The students learnt multiplication using sticks.
All the students brought sticks and learnt how to multiply two numbers by criss - crossing the sticks.
Say, for example to multiply 5 and 2 , the students placed 5 sticks vertically and 2 sticks horizontally on them.
The number of points at which the sticks meet i.e the point of intersection will be the product.
